  1. The Summer Holiday Pink Tax Unveiled

    Razors, labelled ‘embrace’, ‘divine’ and ‘breeze’, are synonymous with gendered razors, with retailers thinking this is what women want – and an easy way to make more money. But if this wasn’t enough, women are actually paying significantly more for the same products their male counterparts also purchase, for the same purpose; such as razors. This extra cost has been dubbed the ‘pink tax’, which is a mark-up by retailers which sees women paying more for basic beauty products, when the only significant and distinguishable difference is the ‘pink’ packaging. This marketing ploy which has been adopted by many brands in the UK, has sparked a huge debate among feminists as an example; however it has yet to have had a positive impact on our bank accounts.
