While some experts say that boiling water would not damage metal pipes, it\u2019s best to be safe as with regular use you could still damage the joints and pipe fittings over time. This is usually the case in the bathrooms that are not used frequently, as the lack of water flowing in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.showerstoyou.co.uk\/taps\/\">taps<\/a> allows sewer fumes to come up the drain.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8211; Pipe blockage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have long hair you probably experience pipe blockage. The combination of hair and soap will clog the pipes and the bacteria will create an awful smell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8211; Mould<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have even the smallest leak in a pipe it\u2019s enough for mildew and mould to build up, which can create that awful drain odour people want to get rid of.<\/p>\n<p>To get rid of drain odour you\u2019ll have to get rid of what causes it first. If the reason for the bad odour is a build-up of mould, then the best approach is to call a plumber and let them fix the issue.
