<\/a>We suggest having an old spray bottle at the ready.<\/p><\/div>\n
Before we dive into our cleaning guide, there are a few handy things to note:<\/p>\n
- \n
- If you are planning on\/ already using a Shower Cleaning Spray on your tray or panels<\/a>, please check against the manufacturer’s guarantee. Using a potentially damaging chemical on your designer tray can void any future warranty claims you may wish to pursue.<\/li>\n
- Keep a cloth or shower squeegee within an arm’s length. These essential items can save you half the time you typically spend cleaning!<\/li>\n
- If you see any apparent clumps of dirt or hair on the shower tray, try and remove these sooner rather than later. This can prevent any drainage issues in the future.<\/li>\n
- Keep your bathroom as well ventilated as possible (e.g., use the extractor fan or open a window) to limit mould around the silicone seals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Soap scum is inevitable on any design\u00a0of shower tray. To give your tray the deepest clean, you will need:<\/p>\n
- \n
- An empty spray bottle<\/li>\n
- 100ml White vinegar<\/li>\n
- <\/li>\n
- Washing Up Liquid<\/li>\n
- Cloth\/ Sponge<\/li>\n
- Showerhead\/ Jug of water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Step 1 \u2013 Mix the solution:\u00a0<\/strong>Heat approximately 100ml of white vinegar until hot. Combine the hot vinegar and 100ml of washing-up liquid in the bottle.<\/p>\n
Step 2 \u2013 Spray onto the tray:\u00a0<\/strong>Spray thoroughly onto the affected areas. We recommend opening any nearby windows as the mixture is relatively overpowering!<\/p>\n
Step 3 \u2013 Wipe away:\u00a0<\/strong>After roughly half an hour, gently wipe the mixture on the areas with a cloth or sponge. The mixture will have broken down the scum.<\/p>\n
Step 4 \u2013 Rinse away:\u00a0<\/strong>With your showerhead, rinse your shower tray and reveal your clean surface!<\/p>\n
Clear Away Limescale<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n
Limescale is harder to clean than soap scum, especially if you’re in a hard water area. Whilst it’s not a major issue, cleaning can take significantly longer. You will require:<\/p>\n
- \n
- An empty spray bottle<\/li>\n
- 100ml White vinegar<\/li>\n
- Washing Up Liquid<\/li>\n
- 30ml Lemon Juice<\/li>\n
- Baking Soda<\/li>\n
- Cloth\/ Sponge<\/li>\n
- Showerhead\/ Jug of water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Step 1 – Create the mixture:<\/strong><\/p>\n
- \n
- As with the soap scum, heat the vinegar until hot.<\/li>\n
- Add the 30ml of lemon juice and approximately half a cup of baking soda into the bottle with the vinegar.<\/li>\n
- Mix until you have a thick paste. If the mixture is too watery, add more baking soda until you have the correct consistency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Step 2 \u2013 Spray the mixture:\u00a0<\/strong>After opening a window, spray the thick mixture onto the affected areas on your shower tray and leave for an hour.<\/p>\n
Step 3 \u2013 Wipe away:\u00a0<\/strong>Rinse the mixture and use a cloth\/ sponge to remove any excess mixture.<\/p>\n

<\/a>An old sponge or cloth will make cleaning easier.<\/p><\/div>\n
Removing Rust<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n
A build-up of rust creates an unsightly shower, especially around the plug. We recommend using:<\/p>\n
- \n
- White vinegar<\/li>\n
- Lemon juice<\/li>\n
- A large cloth\/ old towel<\/li>\n
- Sponge<\/li>\n
- Showerhead<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Step 1 \u2013 Soak the area:<\/strong><\/p>\n
- \n
- Pour<\/strong>\u00a0a generous amount of white vinegar onto the rusted area.<\/li>\n
- Pour an equal amount of lemon juice into the area.<\/li>\n
- Leave for approximately two hours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Step 2 \u2013 Rinse:\u00a0<\/strong>With the showerhead, rinse the mixture from the affected area and dry the area with the old towel. If necessary, use a sponge to scrub any extra rust.<\/p>\n
Step 3 (Optional) \u2013 Repeat the “Limescale” step:\u00a0<\/strong>If any rust is still present, we recommend using the “Clear Away Limescale” step above. Instead of leaving the paste for an hour, leave it untouched for up to three hours. Once this is done, rinse the paste away with your showerhead.<\/p>\n
