Q: I need to replace my old Bristan Colonial Bath & Shower mixer tap valves as they have worn out. Will I be able to use the new quarter turn cd valves to replace the old twisting type of valve and will they fit correctly, or will I have to replace the whole tap with a newer Bristan tap model? Warren - 2 years ago Answer: This would be dependent on the year the mixer tap was originally purchased due to the fact that the valves have been updated.
Q: Assume pair of bristan tap cartridges £14 odd are they hot and cold? Shuttleworth - 2 years ago Answer: These are supplied as a pair however are actually a pair of cold cartridges, as the hot cartridge has been discontinued. The Cartridge can still be used in a hot tap, this however just means that both taps will turn the same direction.
Q: Are they both clockwise to turn? Or is one clockwise, and the other anti clockwise? (Hot & cold)? J - 2 years ago Answer: The hot cartridge has actually been discontinued, so these are supplied as a pair of cold cartridges, so this will mean both taps will turn the same direction.
